trying. when should it stop?

sometimes friends and even family fail you. it's natural to feel hurt and be upset. so much internal turmoil; all the blind and perhaps, pointless guessing creating a dichotomy of thoughts in your head.

one side embraces grace and the want (maybe need) to forgive, to closing both eyes, believing in naivety, second chances and in giving others the benefit of doubt. yet the other wages war with anger, fear, accusations and the need to show that the other is at fault.

but really.. at the end of the day, you'd want to see neither side win.

why?

why do we hesitate?
is it the fear of rejection? is the fear of being the one in the wrong? what are we really afraid of?

because of that, our actions appear awkward, intentions become clouded and whatever we think of and what we perform don't correspond.

it has become pointless to try
for the falling and bruises have taken its toll
pointless contriving
just reminiscing the old
